Domestic Performance

Made on a budget of ₹15 crore, the Sandalwood animated film earned ₹7.9 crore net on its second Tuesday (Day 12), according to box office tracker Sacnilk. This took the film’s total 12-day domestic net collection to ₹106.20 crore.

On Day 11 (Monday), the film had collected ₹7.35 crore net, marking a 68.18% drop from the previous weekend’s strong earnings. However, the mid-week offer helped stabilize the numbers and draw back the audience.

In terms of viewership, the film registered 29.55% Telugu occupancy across theatres on Day 12.

Worldwide Collection

Mahavatar Narsimha has also made waves globally, collecting a gross of ₹121 crore worldwide within 11 days of its release.

Industry Reactions

Film trade analyst Sumit Kadel praised the film’s success, calling it a game-changer for the Indian animation industry. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote:

"Mahavatar Narsimha crossing the ₹100 crore mark is a historic moment for Indian cinema. While Hollywood animated films often earn $1–2 billion globally, this success shows that India too can produce large-scale animated films and release them on a wide scale."

He further emphasized the creative potential within India’s rich cultural heritage and expressed hope that more filmmakers will now explore animation, leading to significant benefits for the industry and exhibitors alike.
